Brian J. Edwards – Chief Executive Officer & Cofounder
An expert in materials production and characterization of their properties and behaviors, Brian Edwards has more than 25 years of experience in academic and industrial research. After completing the Ph.D. degree in chemical engineering at the University of Delaware, Dr. Edwards spent time as a researcher at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH-Zurich) in Switzerland. He later joined the University of Tennessee as a chemical engineering faculty member. He is a co-inventor of the novel graphene manufacturing process and equipment employed by Celtig. He has published over 100 technical papers in the chemical engineering and materials science disciplines, as well as a seminal textbook in the field of nonequilibrium thermodynamics. He currently serves as the Director of the PolyHub Engineering Virtual Organization and Co-director of the Materials Research and Innovation Laboratory (MRAIL) at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville.
